Globally, democracy is being replaced by authoritarianism. Overbearing lockdowns and mandates have reverberated around the world. Democracy in America is at risk as never before. While democracy is in a decline globally, the threats to American democracy are uniquely American. Inflation, housing shortages, skyrocketing fuel costs and a political system that fails to provide results for our day-to-day quality of life undermine the democratic process. This creates a fertile breeding ground for political hopefuls who are anti-system, would be authoritarians.

Our elected officials swear an oath to Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America, against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Not only are American democratic institutions under attack from foreign governments, we face significant threats from within. While it’s up to our leaders in Washington to protect our freedoms, it is our responsibility to hold them accountable. Those elected leaders have failed us time and time again. It is past time to replace those who refuse to Protect, Preserve and Defend the constitution with those who will.

Silicon Valley tech companies meddle in our elections and in so doing they drown out the voices of ordinary Americans, giving them reason to doubt the efficacy of our political system. Corporate activism undermines our political system.

Forward Motion ‘24’ supports candidates who will stand up to those tech giants by strengthening legislation that brings sanctions against our adversaries and safeguards our election processes from outside influence. We also advocate for serious campaign finance reform to reduce the influence of tech companies, big Woke corporations and the good-ol boy system of politics as usual on our elected officials.
